Lederer set to retire

PETER Lederer, director of Diageo in Scotland and chairman of Gleneagles, will retire at the end of this year.

Lederer has worked in the Scottish hospitality industry for 30 years.
His principal role has been running the Diageo-owned Gleneagles, which he is credited with helping establish as a luxury resort. Recently, Lederer has headed up Diageo’s Learning for Life programme in Scotland.
Lederer said: “It has been a privilege to be part of such great industry, both hospitality and Scotch whisky, which are at the forefront of promoting Scotland on the world stage.”
