A CASK ale named after Scots musician Michael Marra’s most famous song has been launched at a Dundee bar.

The Tay Bridge Bar began selling golden ale Hermless by Kellas-based MòR Brewery at a launch night attended by Michael’s widow Peggy as well as Jimmy Marr, boss of Tay Bridge Bar parent company Park Leisure, and Ross Niven of MòR Brewery.
The Perth Road pub was said to be the songwriter and musician’s favourite haunt before he died in 2012.
Proceeds from sales of the cask ale will go to Optimistic Sound, a charity set up in Michael’s name, which will receive £10 from every cask sold.
Hugh Gray, manager of the Tay Bridge Bar, said: “People were asking for the beer before the official launch, which I think is testament to the man.”
