Get teed-up for Ryder Cup

CREATING a lively atmosphere and introducing American and European-themed food – that’s just some of the advice from Sky for licensees seeking to make the most of next weekend’s Ryder Cup.

Europe’s top golfers will take on their American counterparts at Gleneagles between September 26 and 28 in the 40th competition.
And Sky claims its golf coverage, which includes a channel dedicated to the Ryder Cup, will help pubs boost business.
Alison Dolan, deputy managing director of Sky Business, suggested licensees display American and European flags in their outlets to increase awareness of coverage.
“Operators can use Sky’s golf coverage to differentiate themselves, attract in new or different customers and increase dwell time,” she said.
“Creating a lively and vibrant atmosphere is key to any sport offering and ensures customers will come back for more.”
