• Burger Meats Bun opened its first restaurant, in Glasgow, last year.

A SPECIALIST burger restaurant business which claims a Michelin Star pedigree has expanded with the opening of a second outlet.

The team behind Burger Meats Bun opened a new restaurant on Edinburgh’s Forth Street last week – a year to the day after launching the inaugural restaurant in Glasgow.
The business is owned by Ben Dantzic and James Forrest, who met while working at Michelin-starred Fife restaurant The Peat Inn.
Like the Glasgow restaurant, the new Edinburgh outlet has a strong focus on burgers, which are produced using ingredients from Scottish suppliers and complemented by a drinks list that includes ales from Scottish firms Cromarty Brewery and West.
“Burger Meats Bun fuses high quality produce and mouth-watering recipes with a cool interior and atmosphere to offer a brilliant yet accessible culinary experience,” said Dantzic, who is director and manager of the business.
“We’re really pleased with how the concept has been received in Glasgow in the last year and are now excited to be expanding our business and bringing it to Edinburgh.”
Fellow director and head chef Forrest added: “From our experience working in the fine dining sector with some of the best chefs in the UK, we noticed a real gap in the market for a casual concept, using first-class ingredients and making everything from scratch, and Burger Meats Bun does just that.
“We hope that Edinburgh foodies will enjoy it as much as our Glasgow customers have.”
