The Kilchoman Distillery on Islay has released the latest in its limited edition ‘100% Islay’ range.
The 4th Edition is a 50% ABV bottling, which is said to be lightly peated compared with other Kilchoman whiskies.
Every step in the production of the 100% Islay range, which was first launched in 2011, is said to take place on the distillery site.
Anthony Wills, managing director of Kilchoman, said it is “exciting to be able to offer a product which is created 100% on Islay”.
Distillery manager John MacLellan said the 4th Edition represents a “significant development in the maturity of our 100% Islay range”.
“Its balance and complexity far surpassed our expectations,” said MacLellan.
