THE Inveralmond Brewery in Perth has shown its true colours by releasing a blue beer ahead of Saturday’s (May 17) Scottish Cup Final between St Johnstone and Dundee United.

Nine-gallon casks of The Saints 130 Ale – a 3.9% ABV blue ale – have been launched to celebrate St Johnstone’s first Scottish Cup Final for 130 years.
Scott Findlay, owner of Perth pub the Cherrybank Inn, was credited with suggesting the brewer develop “something special” for the occasion.
Ken Duncan, the brewer behind the blue beer, said it is “well worth the anticipation, tackling the senses with its zesty fruit aromas, inviting blueberry tang and a sensational finish like the one we’re all hoping for on May 17”.
Inveralmond managing director, Fergus Clark, said the brewery “will be backing St Johnstone all the way” on the day of the final.
