WHOLESALERS are planning delivery routes for this summer’s Commonwealth Games after Glasgow and Edinburgh city councils published details of road closures and diversions during the event.
Temporary traffic measures in both cities include the creation of ‘secure zones’ around Games venues, as well as road closures and diversions – some of which will be in place up to 20 minutes’ walk from the venue.
Kate Salmon, executive director of the Scottish Wholesale Association, said: “Many of our members are making their own plans and being proactive in finding out exactly how the Games will impact on their business.”
The Games is on from July 23 to August 3.
