Pubco offloads two venues on the outskirts of Edinburgh
TWO former Star Pubs & Bars premises on the outskirts of Edinburgh have been put up for sale by the pubco.
The Sitting Room in Craiglockhart and the Mayfield Inn near Dalkeith are both available to buy freehold.
Located in a residential area, The Sitting Room comprises a 50-cover public bar with a small catering kitchen offering the potential for food sales.
Both pubs are expected to attract significant interest.
The Mayfield Inn, which previously traded as The Limekiln, is situated next to Bogwood Court shopping parade and comprises a 50-cover lounge bar, a public bar and a function room.
Barry McNeil, of selling agent Christie & Co, said both properties should attract “significant interest”.
“We can see a significant uplift for an operator in acquiring these businesses on a freehold basis in order to run themselves,” he said.
“In addition, subject to local authority planning consent, both units do offer a potential change of use option.”
The Sitting Room is on the market at offers over £250,000, while The Mayfield Inn has a price tag of offers over £230,000.
