PUBS from across Scotland have signed up to be part of a major new tourism marketing initiative.
Operators of 120 outlets have joined the Scotland’s Pubs and Bars – A Story to Tell campaign, which was launched late last year by the SLTA, VisitScotland, Tennent’s and Diageo.
As part of the initiative, outlets will feature on a dedicated website and app; a resident ‘storyteller’ from each outlet will receive training to help bring their pub’s story to life for visitors.
“We’ve had really good entries from every geographical area in Scotland,” said SLTA chief Paul Waterson. “And it [the initiative] has appealed to all different types of outlet.”
