Glasgow business said to offer scope for further growth
AN eleven-bedroom guest house in Glasgow’s west end is up for sale.
Forming part of Historic Scotland-listed Buckingham Terrace overlooking Glasgow’s Great Western Road, the Georgian House hotel comprises 11 bedrooms, a breakfast room and staff bedroom; there’s also private car parking to the rear of the property.
The business currently operates on a bed and breakfast basis across ten of the bedrooms; the eleventh room is used as a self-catering ‘studio’.
Property agency Colliers International is marketing the Georgian House as a retirement sale on behalf of current owner Elizabeth Morris, who now lives abroad and operates the business entirely through management.
The business operates on a bed and breakfast basis.
Alistair Letham, a director at Colliers International, said the property occupies a prominent location.
“The Georgian House has a good and visible location in the busy west end of Glasgow and its profile overlooking Great Western Road attracts custom,” he said.
“With the seller living abroad and the business currently run entirely under management, there is undoubtedly an opportunity for new owners, who wish to take a more active day-to-day role in the running of the business, to increase its turnover and profitability.”
Offers over £699,000 are sought for the Georgian House.
