THE company behind El Dorado rum in the UK is positioning the range as an ideal ingredient for Christmas cocktails.
Love Drinks is promoting the five year old El Dorado for use in a traditional Swizzle cocktail, which combines the rum with fruit juice, as well as the base for a hot rum punch, mixed with cranberry juice, cloves, sugar and two slices of apple.
The 12 year old rum, meanwhile, is being marketed for inclusion in a hot toddy.
Substituting the rum for Scotch whisky, two teaspoons of honey should be added to 50mls of El Dorado 12 year old and 15mls of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
