Festive flavour set to add some sparkle to pubs
SOFT drinks firm Britvic aims to add some sparkle to the on-trade with the reintroduction of seasonal variant J2O Glitter Berry.
The Christmas variant, which is made from a combination of red grape, cherry, a hint of spice and edible gold flakes, is appearing in the on-trade for the third successive year.
As well as promoting signature serve the J2O Glitter Ball, which combines J2O Glitter Berry with Amaretto, Britvic is supporting the relaunch with two competitions, one targeted at consumers and the other aimed at staff in the on-trade.
The seasonal variant is made from a combination of red grape, cherry, a hint of spice and gold flakes.
The ‘J2O Party Kitty’ competition offers consumers the chance to win one of three “ultimate parties”, said to be worth £20,000, by entering codes found on promotional bottles on the soft drink brand’s website.
The on-pack promotion is set to run until the end of December. Winners will have the chance to spend Christmas in a London townhouse or New Year in Edinburgh.
The company has also introduced a bottle cap competition for licensees, with the chance to win one of three Christmas shopping trips to New York.
Codes found on the brand’s seasonal golden J2O bottle caps can be entered online for a chance to win the grand prize. Additional prizes include weekend shopping trips to London and a selection of high street vouchers.
In addition to the competitions, the Glitter Berry flavour will be backed by marketing activity for the J2O brand as a whole.
Jonathan Gatward, marketing director at Britvic Soft Drinks, said: “We are predicting strong sales over the party season and would advise publicans and licensees to stock up now to benefit from the return of J2O Glitter Berry and these two fantastic promotions.”
