Holyrood Distillery looks forward to summer fun

EARLY BIRD tickets are now on sale for The Mash Up festival at Holyrood Distillery, taking place from the 2nd to 4th June 2023.

Launched last year, the event brings together more than 600 beer and whisky lovers to Edinburgh’s Southside, for a three-day beer and whisky event.

Last year’s Mash Up involved breweries such as Pilot, Newbarns, Cross Borders, Stewarts Brewing and Cold Town Beer alongside distilleries including Kilchoman, Clydeside, Nc’Nean, Glasgow Distillery, Isle of Raasay and Woven.

The intention for 2023 is a line-up bringing back local favourites and introducing a collection of new wave and world beers and whiskies.

Holly Aynsley, Bars and Events Manager for Holyrood Distillery, said: “Last year it was a privilege to welcome some of the most innovative brewers and distillers to take over our distillery and we were delighted with the response to the event. 2023’s event  will be even bigger and better and will be a real demonstration of the cutting edge flavours and techniques in today’s world of brewing and distilling.

“Tickets allow entry to the Distillery for two and half hours as well as the opportunity to sample from all of the exhibitors. Further drinks can be purchased directly from the stands or at the Distillery Bar. This relaxed vibe allows guests to discover their new favourite beer or whisky at their leisure.”

There are three slots daily to choose from:  12.00, 15.00 and 18.30, each lasting two and half hours. Tickets can be booked here.

Holyrood Distillery was opened in 2019, bringing single malt whisky distillation back to Edinburgh after a gap of nearly 100 years. Tours, tastings and other events take place regularly at the distillery, which overlooks Holyrood Park and Salisbury Crags.
