SMIRNOFF’S range of flavoured vodkas has been bolstered with a new cinnamon variant.
Described by parent company Diageo as a blend of Smirnoff and cinnamon flavouring, Smirnoff Gold is garnished with edible 23-carat gold leaf “suspended” in the liquid.
Smirnoff Gold joins the existing Lime, Green Apple, Vanilla, Blueberry and Espresso variants in the range.
The new vodka is being promoted alongside ‘signature serve’, the Smirnoff Apple Bite Gold – Smirnoff Gold, lemonade and apple juice, as well as served straight over ice.
Smirnoff marketing manager Karen O’Shea said the new variant is designed to appeal to consumers seeking new flavour.
“Smirnoff is leading the way in innovation within the vodka category and this new premium offering represents a significant opportunity for outlets to grow vodka sales by encouraging consumers to trade up,” she said.
“The launch of Smirnoff Gold and the Smirnoff Apple Bite signature serve builds on our ‘Drink Inventively’ positioning, by inspiring consumers to enjoy Smirnoff in new ways.”
