DUNDEE licensing board has completed a consultation on proposed changes to its late-night hours policy.
Currently premises such as nightclubs can remain open until 2.30am in the city, with the standard terminal hour for pubs set at midnight.
However, under the new proposals nightclubs would be able to remain open until 4am on Fridays and Saturdays, with bars offering late-night entertainment allowed to trade until 2.30am and premises that, under the 1975 Act, would have been labelled ‘public houses’, allowed to open until 1am on those nights.
The board will discuss its hours policy at a meeting later this month.
