GLASGOW restaurant The Ubiquitous Chip is planning to celebrate the best of Scotland’s food and drink next month when it hosts a new festival.
The six-day May Feast, held from May 19 to 24, will feature food and drink from 20 different Scottish producers and suppliers. Customers will be able to try ten craft beers, a dozen wines and “an unlimited number” of Scotch whiskies.
A different event will be held on each day of the festival, with the first day celebrating pies and Scottish ale, the second featuring whisky and haggis and the third celebrating Scottish seafood. The fourth event will be a gourmet cheese dinner, with a German sausage barbecue taking place on the fifth day. The sixth and final event will feature a range of Portuguese wines, matched to a three-course meal.
Tickets to the events range from free to £40 per person and are available through the restaurant’s website, www.ubiquitouschip.co.uk
