A STRONG performance by Magners was last week credited with helping owner C&C Group record robust sales figures.

The volume of the Irish cider sold in the UK in the three months to the end of November was up 5.8%, while net revenues climbed 7.8%.
Tennent’s delivered a “robust” performance in the Scottish on-trade: C&C said its “pursuit of value” in the off-trade continues to be a “significant negative” for overall brand volumes and net revenues but positive for operating margins.
Tennent’s volumes were down 15.7% in the three months while net revenue dipped 3.2%.
