TENNENT Caledonian Breweries has added another well-known brewing figure to its senior management ranks.

Jim Young, formerly of Scottish & Newcastle and most recently managing director of Belhaven’s drinks business, has been recruited as head of new business at the Glasgow brewer.
His arrival strengthens the senior sales team at Wellpark, following the appointments of John Gilligan and Steve Annand as joint managing directors in September.
Young, pictured right, previously worked with Gilligan and Stephen Glancey, now CEO of TCB owner C&C Group, at S&N.
In his new role, Young will be responsible for implementing a new sales structure and head a team of four new business managers, reporting to sales MD Gilligan.
“We are delighted to have Jim join the team at Tennent Caledonian,” Gilligan said. ‘Jim has incredible experience in the industry and his expertise will be welcomed by all at the brewery.”
As well as unlocking sales opportunities for TCB’s core brands, SLTN understands that Young and his new business team will work closely with Harviestoun to identify potential keg stockists of the brewer’s craft brands.
