ONLINE restaurant booking service Livebookings has been earmarked as one to watch in an annual league table of technology firms.

The reservations and restaurant marketing service was listed in the ‘ones to recognise’ category of the Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100, published earlier this month.
Livebookings said it has increased revenues by offering a flexible and competitively-priced service to restaurants and building its consumer business by offering solutions to what it describes as growing consumer demand for mobile and online reservations.
In the quarter ending June 2011, Livebookings said 2.6 million diners booked using its service – a 100% increase on the same period in 2010.
Likewise, Bookatable, its consumer restaurant reservations website, is said to be the fastest-growing in its category in Europe, with close to 700,000 visitors a month. The company has processed over 20m covers since 2006.
