EDINBURGH pub The Haymarket has been relaunched following a revamp of its interior and food and drink offer.
Part of Mitchells & Butlers’ portfolio, The Haymarket is the latest outlet to be launched under the pubco’s Nicholson’s brand, which focus on offering quality pub food and cask ale.
As part of the revamp, the West Maitland Street bar received a fresh new look, which is described as “cosy and stylish”. The new menu majors in seasonal ingredients and features dishes like Scottish salmon en croûte, Porterhouse steak and lamb shank pie.
The bar carries a broad selection of cask ales and premium lagers, as well as a range of malt whiskies and gins.
Derek Meechan, who runs The Haymarket, said the pub aims to become a dining destination for commuters and west end locals alike.
“We’re excited about introducing guests to a first class new pub in the area,” he said. “It’s going to be a great place to enjoy a great meal out.”
Fellow Nicholson’s pubs in the city include The Conan Doyle, Deacon Brodie’s Tavern, and The Mitre Bar.
