Argyll hotel offers rooms with a view

Loch-side business ideal base to explore Highlands

AN Argyll hotel that lays claim to some of the best loch and mountain views in Scotland is up for sale.
Sitting on the shores of Loch Sunart overlooking the Morvern Hills, the Strontian Hotel is located at the edge of Strontian village, 25 miles from Fort William.
The short Corran Ferry crossing over Loch Linnhe is said to offer the quickest route to the property.
The hotel has six letting bedrooms, two restaurants, a bar and a small function room; there’s also a four-room owner’s suite.

The hotel is ideal for family operators seeking a well-established business in a popular part of west coast Scotland.

In the grounds, there is a range of outbuildings and what’s described as a sizeable loch-facing site.
In addition, there is planning consent to build an owner’s house.
Alistair Letham, a director with selling agent Colliers International, said the Strontian Hotel offers guests an ideal base from where to explore the Ardnamurchan Peninsula and surrounding area.
“Idyllically located amongst the rugged countryside of west Argyll with a superb loch-side position, the Strontian Hotel is ideal for family operators seeking a well-established business in a beautiful and popular part of west coast Scotland,” he said.
Colliers International is inviting offers around £525,000 for the Strontian Hotel.
