‘Thriving’ pub is said to offer scope for development

AN Aberdeenshire pub said to offer “ample opportunity” for expansion is being marketed by Bruce & Co.
Located in the heart of Peterhead, The Fishie Pub has been refurbished throughout.
Trading successfully on wet sales, the property includes a kitchen not currently in use, giving new owners the opportunity to introduce a food offer.
“We made the decision to sell as we are looking for a new challenge after completely renovating the business when we took over,” said current owner Richard Gibbons.
“We want to sell as quickly and efficiently as possible, so have decided to sell through Bruce & Co.”
Bruce & Co’s David Pickering is marketing the property with an asking price of £375,000 for the freehold.
“This is a rare opportunity to purchase a high quality pub with lots of potential,” he said.
“The Fishie Pub has been renovated to an extremely high standard, and this, along with the opportunities it provides, makes it an extremely attractive prospect.
“We anticipate this business will generate a lot of interest from potential buyers and are confident it will not be on the market for long.”
Bruce & Co is also marketing Cross Haven Guest House in Stranraer, south-west Scotland.
Previously home to a convent, the property was converted by the current owners to offer four en suite letting rooms (a single, a twin and two doubles). There’s also a dining room, private lounge and gardens.
Bruce & Co’s Jonathan Marr said the current owners have built a strong customer base, and currently have contracts in place with the Dumfries & Galloway police force. The ferry port, from where a service runs to Belfast, is only minutes away.
“Cross Haven B&B is in a unique position in that it does not have to solely rely on one area of income,” Marr said.
“The vendors have worked extremely hard to create strong business links that will benefit new owners.
“The B&B is in true walk-in condition and will interest and suit many different buyers.”
Offers over £350,000 are sought for Cross Haven Guest House.
