THE hotel firm behind Ayrshire resort Turnberry has appointed a new general manager
Tarrida, who is said to have a passion for golf and fine dining, will now oversee the management of Turnberry’s 800-acre estate, three golf courses, recently-refurbished 150-bedroom hotel and spa and eight self-catering apartments.
“I have long admired Turnberry – it is a truly fantastic hotel with incredible charm in a wonderful location and I am very much looking forward to working with the team,” he said.
“The recently-created Lands of Turnberry apartments give an added dimension to our product and have opened up Turnberry to many new family visitors to enjoy the fantastic facilities we have on offer.”
Michael Wale, senior vice-president of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, said Tarrida brings a “wealth of experience in the international luxury resort business”.
