A way to heat up your al fresco food sales?

AN equipment supply firm is marketing its range of infrared heaters to pubs, bars and restaurants ahead of the summer season.

• Heaters can help boost revenues.

Tansun, which supplies a range of wall-mounted, ceiling and free-standing heaters, claims its equipment can help licensees boost revenues from al fresco dining.
The business said its two biggest-selling heaters, the Rio IP and Rio Grande, are particularly well-suited for use in the outdoor areas of licensed premises as they are both weather-proof.
The Rio IP is described as a lightweight heater with a “heat coverage distribution area” of around 10.5 square metres. Tansun is promoting the heater for use under parasols and in smoking areas.
The larger Rio Grande, meanwhile, is marketed for use in awnings as well as smoking areas and general outdoor areas. It is able to heat an area of around 22 square metres and includes brackets for wall fitting.
