Private members club The Eden Club at Pittormie Castle has announced it is to invest £12 million in an expansion programme.
The investment is expected to create 40 new jobs at the site and will see the creation of ten high-end accommodation units with four bedrooms each.
The expansion will double the number of fully serviced second homes on the estate in addition to the eight suites located within the main castle.
The investment is said to be privately funded by the owners following rising demand for memberships from visitors from around the world.
Fiona McIlroy, general manager of The Eden Club and Pittormie Castle, said the owners “believe it is the right time to invest in the property as we see opportunities for growth in our international membership club model”.
