Hotel banks on loch-side views

Fishing rights can also be included in the sale, agent says

A Hotel on the banks of Loch Lochy has been put up for sale, to allow its owners to focus on the development of a nearby marina.

The 14-bedroom Letterfinlay Lodge Hotel in Spean Bridge is said to occupy “one of the best locations in the Highlands”.

Offering “spectacular views” over the loch and the Great Glen, the property comprises Ospreys seafood restaurant and sun deck overlooking the loch, a new whisky lounge and a conservatory.

The hotel is being sold with access to the beach and foreshore jetty; selling agent Colliers International said trout fishing rights can also be included.

Colliers director Alistair Letham said the hotel’s location near the A82 Fort William to Inverness road, means it is “highly visible to a large volume of passing trade”.

“The Letterfinlay Lodge Hotel fulfils handsomely the adage that success depends on ‘location, location, location’,” said Letham.

“The hotel has been extensively renovated and refurbished by the current owners since they bought the property in 2006 and now provides that special touch of affordable luxury in this dramatic and popular location.

“Not only that, the business is extremely well established and showing very good levels of profitability.”

Offers over £795,000 are sought for the Letterfinlay Lodge Hotel.
