Following its last three sellout years, the Gravity Beer Festival will return to Edinburgh’s Summerhall later this month with perhaps its best line-up of independent brewers yet.
This fourth edition, once again organised by Edinburgh brewer Barney’s Beer, will take place on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 of September, and will include ‘industry icons’ Sierra Nevada and Pilot Beer.
“Year four, and it might just be our best yet,” said founder Andrew ‘Barney’ Barnett. “We’re welcoming 15 brand new brewers to Summerhall. Over 60 beers, a no-and-low bar, tutored tastings, street food, and yes, dogs are still very much welcome.”
Described as Edinburgh’s only ‘all-in’ craft beer event – which means all of each visitor’s beer is included in the price of their ticket – Gravity is described as a festival organised by a brewery with brewers in mind, created a platform to showcase breweries from across the UK and beyond.
This fourth edition will feature some of the UK’s most exciting breweries, with Pilot Beer and Barneys’ Beer on tap, as well as an even bigger international presence than ever before.
Legendary American craft brewer Sierra Madre and Austrians Stiegl will travel all the way to the capital for the weekend, as well as Manchester-based ‘craft beer royalty’ Cloudwater.
Also pouring will be Hand Brew Co., Rigg and Furrow, Wiper and True, Hackney Brew Church Co., Courier Brew Co., Two Towns Down, Terra Tempo, Beer Riff, Amity Brew Co., Buxton Brewery, and Ascension Cider Co.
With beers of all styles and flavours available, Gravity Beer Festival aims to provide the opportunity for communities far and wide to truly enjoy everything that the UK brewing scene has to offer.
Highlights of 2026’s festival will include 16 breweries and 1 cidery pouring across the weekend, with 60+ beers and ciders on offer, all included in the price of the ticket; there will be free tutored talks and tastings in each session; a no-and-low bar; and street food vendors available in the Summerhall courtyard.
The main festival will be held in The Dissection Room at Summerhall Arts & Culture Centre, a venue for diverse programmes of visual and performing arts, and home to a varied community of creative artists and businesses, including a restaurant/bar, café, brewery and distillery.
