Glasgow’s Queen’s Park Arena has revealed its ‘something for everyone’ schedule of events for Summer 2026, promising to attract more footfall to its southside neighbourhood.

Taking place from 2 July until 2 August, this will be the ninth official Queens Park Arena summer programme put on by the local Community Interest Company, Inhouse Event Solutions.

With over four weeks of free and donation-ticketed events scheduled, the arena will be playing host to films, arts, live music, fitness activities, plus street food and drink, all celebrating ‘the power of community in the heart of Glasgow’s Southside’.

The amphitheatre main stage will see the return of the open air cinema programme ‘Cults & Classics’, where film enthusiasts can settle in for a selection of weekday matinee and evening showings on a giant 7.5x3m LED screen, augmented with short films by rising Scottish directors and filmmakers, as well as live music performances from local musicians.

This year also sees the return of ‘Open Stage’, the professionally produced, free arts and music events featuring local and international talent showcases.

‘QPA Live’ will feature the 5th annual ‘Sub Club Southside Weekender’, the return of ‘Melting Pot – One Day In The Park’, open air live comedy events under ‘Laugh In The Park’ and a series of noted live music acts, including Gary Numan, Heaven 17, Tom Meighan and Black Country New Road.

Depending on their preference, visitors can enjoy the 5th Annual Glasgow Choir Festival, bringing together choirs from all over the city to celebrate the power of the voice; or the Glasgow Annual Hip Hop Jam, a multi-art and multi-generational celebration of Hip Hop culture.

The space will also host live sports screenings, including the Wimbledon 2026 Men’s & Women’s finals, and the World Cup final.

Throughout the 32-day festival, attendees can enjoy a range of food and drink options, from woodfired pizza to nachos, popcorn, soft serve ice cream and more.

The licensed cafe bar – open from 12:00-23:00 daily – will offer a full range of options, including lager and IPA from local brewers William Bros, and freshly roasted coffee from Glasgow’s Dear Green coffee.

Founding director of Inhouse Event Solutions, Chet Capkiner, said: “We are going to another level this year with some of the live acts coming to the venue.

“I’m proud and lucky to have such a capable team supporting me year round to pull this festival together. As usual, we will be upgrading the site and set-up, as we do each year, to bring the ‘Professional Neighbourhood Productions’ back to the Southside.

“We have some other extremely exciting announcements coming up too, which we will be revealing onsite throughout the festival regarding another iconic venue in Queens Park that the Inhouse team will be opening in 2027!”

Queen’s Park Arenas has lots of summer events aimed at families

With an eye on the weather, Queen’s Park will also have the ‘Greenhouse Tent’; a 320 square metre stretch tent, featuring a second giant screen for cinema and sports events, and a variety of creative art workshops and activities including DJ/MC lessons, graffiti workshops, signpainting – and a reduced noise, pet-friendly area where guests can bring their pets.
