For the first time ever, TV streaming giant Netflix is partnering with pub sports specialist Sky Business to make one of 2026’s biggest boxing events available to screen in UK pubs, bars and hospitality venues.
Tyson Fury comes out of retirement to fight Arslanbek Makhmudov on 11th April, a match screened exclusively on Netflix and available through Sky Business for the on-trade, touted as a ‘huge trading opportunity’.
Live sport continues to be a proven revenue driver, with out‑of‑home sports viewers reportedly spending 41% more each month than non‑sports viewers, and 19% more per visit when watching live sport.
The full 11th April fight card, including Conor Benn, Frazer Clarke and a British Heavyweight Title bout featuring Jeamie Tshikeva, coincides with major football and golf fixtures, adding to the day’s potential for maximised dwell time and revenue.
Under this first-ever partnership with Netflix, Sky Business holds the exclusive commercial rights to screen the boxing event in pubs, bars and hospitality venues, with operators required to hold a valid commercial licence.
Residential Netflix subscriptions cannot legally be used for public screenings.
Director of hospitality at Sky Business, James Tweddle, said: “We’re excited to partner with Netflix for the first time to bring this huge boxing event to the on-trade.
“Fury’s return, a strong undercard and a major British title on the line makes this a standout night for all boxing fans – and a major commercial opportunity for venues to drive footfall and boost revenue.”
