Duck & Waffle Edinburgh hopes to transport guests to the heart of Havana this summer, with the launch of the Eminente Terrace, a Cuban-inspired rooftop retreat created in partnership with Eminente rum.
Set on the fourth floor of St James Quarter, the terrace offers views across Edinburgh’s skyline, while its interior centres around a textured wild wall, with a mix of tropical foliage and dried flowers, complete with a raffia Eminente sign.
Other carefully considered details—from wicker baskets styled with Eminente scarves to glowing lanterns, branded cushions, and vintage luggage— add warmth and character to the Insta-friendly space.
But at the heart of the experience is a bespoke cocktail menu celebrating Eminente’s Cuban heritage, said to be ‘layered with warmth, depth, and subtle tropical notes’ to suit the atmosphere of long summer evenings, date nights, and sunny drinks with friends.
Cocktail highlights include Velvet Vice, Buenavista Social, and Midnight in Havana, which is exclusively served in croc-embossed Eminente glasses.
Duck & Waffle Edinburgh GM Alexander Winter said: “Spring-summer in Edinburgh doesn’t always promise sunshine, so we wanted to create a terrace that feels like pure golden hour, whatever the weather, full of soul.
“The Eminente Terrace is warm, relaxed, and the perfect place to unwind and connect.”
