The Famous Grouse is hosting a one-night-only panel event – ‘Beyond the Whistle’ – in Edinburgh on 16th April, spotlighting the women reshaping rugby just days ahead of the highly-anticipated Guinness Women’s Six Nations Scotland v England match.
Taking place at Bonnie & Wild in the St James Quarter, The Famous Grouse event will bring together top voices from the women’s sport, including referee Hollie Davidson and Scotland internationals Sarah Bonar and Lisa Thomson, as well as managing director of Scottish Rugby Women, Gemma Fay.

Hosted by broadcaster and Murrayfield match-day announcer Caroline Blair, guests for the ticket-only evening can expect candid conversation on leadership, representation and the future of the game, plus The Famous Grouse cocktails and canapés for guests.
The event forms part of The Famous Grouse’s long‑standing partnership with Scottish Rugby and its ongoing support of grassroots rugby across the men’s and women’s game.

It also comes as women’s rugby in Scotland reaches new heights, as that Scotland v England clash at Scottish Gas Murrayfield on 18th April is expected to draw the largest crowd ever recorded for a standalone women’s sporting event in Scotland.
Tapping into this pivotal moment for the sport, Beyond the Whistle’s exceptional line-up of talent will discuss what it takes to reach the top, challenge perceptions and create meaningful pathways for the next generation, both on and off the pitch.
The Famous Grouse has been a proud sponsor of Scottish Rugby for more than 35 years.
