Royal Dornoch’s Links House hotel is elevating its guests’ experience even further – to around 5000 metres above the ground – as part of an adventure flight experience.

The five-star hotel, claimed to be the UK’s most northerly luxury destination, has teamed up with Highland Aviation to launch a new one-hour ‘Sky-to-Shore’ flight from Dornoch airstrip.

During the flight, on a Piper Cherokee Warrior II light aircraft, guests will be able to see the coastline and North Highland landscapes from above, including views of Royal Dornoch Golf Links; Dornoch Firth; Dunrobin Castle; Loch Ness; Inverness; Culloden Battlefield; Cape Wrath; The Kyle of Durness; Sandwood Bay; John O’Groats; and The UNESCO Flow Country.

When they finally come back down to earth, guests can get their land-legs back taking a stroll along Dornoch beach, just a few minutes’ walk from the airstrip.

The ‘Sky-to-Shore’ package is then completed with a fine dining experience at MARA, the award-winning restaurant at Links House.

Under head chef Theo Creton, the Links House seasonal menu celebrates the very best local and seasonal produce from around the Dornoch Firth; including wild Ardgay venison; Portmahomack lobster; and freshly picked herbs from the hotel’s very own kitchen garden.

Links House holds the most northerly Michelin Key in the UK and has two AA rosettes for culinary excellence.
