Innis & Gunn’s new Edinburgh food, drink and entertainment venue

The new outdoor venue is on the site of the old Neighbourgood market

Scottish brewer Innis & Gunn has transfomed a site on Raeburn Place in Edinburgh’s Stockbridge into a new open-air food and drink destination.

Stockbridge Social opens this Friday, August 1st, on the site that was once home to the Neighbourgood Market, on a mission to bring people together through ‘the very best of Scottish food, drinks and entertainment’.

With free entry throughout August, food traders confirmed for the launch line-up include St Andrew’s fish and chips favourite Cromars, steak frites specialists Flame to Fork, and cult pizza outfit Wanderers Kneaded.

As well as Innis & Gunn’s award-winning beer, Edinburgh Gin and Lost Orchards cider will be on offer, alongside a ‘surprise-filled’ entertainment programme – although Scottish trad music will be to the fore, given Innis & Gunn’s position as headline sponsor of Celtic Connections.

The new Stockbridge outdoor venue is described as dog-friendly and family-friendly, with shaded seating and a ‘laid-back community feel’.

Innis & Gunn has also returned as Official Beer Partner of the 2025 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and has already launched its summer-long takeover of The Mound, which will run daily until 24 August, offering a programme of live music, street food and locally brewed drinks.

Manran made an appearance at this year’s Innis & Gunn Fringe pop up.

Founder and master brewer at Innis & Gunn, Dougal Gunn Sharp, said: “We’re incredibly proud to play a big part in the fabric of Scotland’s capital – from the Highland Show to the Fringe to the Christmas market – and the fact we have this incredible opportunity to take over the market in Stockbridge is unbelievably exciting. It’s a very proud moment for us!

“With the Fringe returning and Oasis coming to town, Edinburgh is electric and we’re cock-a-hoop to be part of it all.”
