Bringing together its ‘fellow innovators in whisky’, Arbikie Highland Estate is organizing the third Dram Good Whisky Festival on Saturday August 16th at Arbikie Distillery in Lunan Bay on the Angus coast.
‘Back by popular demand and in an even more spectacular venue’, the festival promises to showcase some of Scotland’s ‘best and boldest’ new and established whisky producers, with 11 exhibitors currently signed up, ranging from independent distilleries to household names.
Visitors to the festival have the chance to meet the people behind those brands, try drams from each of them, attend talks and masterclasses from the makers, and take away a complimentary tasting glass to commemorate the experience.
John Stirling, co-founder of Arbikie Highland Estate, said: “Building on the success of our 2023 and 2024 events, we’re creating a two-session whisky festival right here at our distillery, showcasing the iconic, the experimental, the contemporary, the sustainable and the ancient.
“The popularity of the festival over the last two years meant it felt the right time to bring it home as we look to continue to make the event bigger and better for years to come.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming whisky enthusiasts from across Scotland to our special homeplace on Scotland’s sunny east coast to discover the stories, spirits and people behind some of the industry’s most influential brands.”
This year’s exhibitors include Arbikie Highland Estate, Benromach, Blind Summit Whisky, Gordon & Macphail, Glen Gairoch, Glencadam, Inchdairnie Distillery, Isle of Harris Distillery, Kingsbarns Distillery, The Carin Distillery and Nc’nean Distillery
Situated less than an hour by train from Aberdeen and Dundee and two hours from both Edinburgh and Glasgow, a shuttle bus service will be available from Montrose train station to and from Arbikie Distillery. For drivers, there is an abundance of parking on site and EV charging stations.
