In collaboration with some local Leith mystics, wine & cocktail bar Mara is introducing a series of laid-back tarot reading nights for the summer and autumn.
Each of these ‘Tarot & Tipples’ nights invites guests to settle in with a drink, catch up with their friends, and then experience a personal tarot card reading from reader Jenni of Tuesday Moon Tarot, in collaboration with Portal Leith.
Guests will receive a drink on arrival before receiving a 10-minute tarot reading – whether they’ve come with a clear question in mind or are simply curious to see what the cards reveal.

“We wanted to create something fun and a little unexpected – a night with depth, but still social and relaxed,” said Mara’s senior marketing manager Steven Watson.
“It’s the perfect excuse to grab a few friends and catch up with them over a few drinks, followed by a debrief about your reading.”
Watson added: “We know that a lot of our customers love tarot, but a solo tarot reading might not be everyone’s cup of tea. By weaving it into the middle of a night out with friends, we’re making the experience feel approachable and genuinely fun – even if you’ve never touched a tarot deck before, you’re sure to have an unforgettable evening.”
Attendees can choose to have their reading one-on-one, or bring a friend from their booking along to share the experience.

Guests will have their table for the night, and can order food & drinks before and after their reading.
Mara claims that Tarot & Tipples is a first of its kind hospitality night for Edinburgh, with the potential to ‘spread a love of tarot reading to a wider audience’.
The event series is part of Mara’s ongoing commitment to offering community-focused, experience-led evenings in the heart of Leith. Previous events have included Spanish-themed weekends, and Wine & Crisp tasting nights, with more such innovations on the horizon.
