Family resort Crieff Hydro Hotel has unveiled a packed programme of events guaranteed to keep boredom at bay during the Scottish school holidays – and keep the trade moving through its new range of restaurants and bars.
Richard Leckie, associate director at Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels, said: “In addition to the huge range of outdoor activities and entertainment available at Crieff Hydro all year round, we’re really excited to be introducing some extra special events for the summer holidays.
“From live sport and music to dinosaurs and outdoor theatre, there’s something for every age and interest, whether you’re visiting for the day or making a full family break of it,” said Leckie.
“Perthshire is one of Scotland’s most beautiful spots during the summer months and we can’t wait to welcome guests from near and far to experience it at its very best.”
Special summer promotions at Crieff Hydro include:
- A taste of Wimbledon in the heart of Scotland, where Scots can get in on the Wimbledon action by recreating their own ‘Henman Hill’ moment in The Melville at Crieff Hydro during the tournament’s finals on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July, with Pimms, strawberries and cream, and the resort’s 1881 Gin Bus Bar serving up drinks;

- Swifties unite, as Crieff Hydro hosts a Taylor Swift tribute night on Friday 1 August 2025.From friendship bracelet making workshops, to hair braiding and face painting, and even a special Swifty mocktail, both mini and mega fans are guaranteed an evening of singalong hits from every era.
- Families can take a trip back in time with the ever popular Dinosaur Experience, which returns to Action Glen Adventure Park – located on the grounds of the Crieff Hydro estate – on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 August. Included in the price, this Jurassic weekend will feature two spectacular dino shows each day, as well as access to the adventure park’s 900 acres of family fun.
- Shakespeare is set to get a sustainable twist when the HandleBards cycle-powered theatre group roll into Perthshire with their outdoor production of Much Ado About Nothing at Action Glen, for a ‘laugh-out loud’ show just after the Scottish schools go back on Friday 29 August 2025.
