Renowned country inn, Balmoral Arms – part of the Crerar Hotels Group – has appointed Dayle Nicoll as its new general manager.
Nicoll takes the reins at the property, in the royal town of Ballater, with fifteen years’ experience in the Scottish hotel and resort industry.
He was previously operations manager of Carnoustie Golf Hotel & Spa, and helped oversee its recent £3 million investment, as well as helping deliver many prestigious golf events, including The Open and Senior Open.
In his earlier career, Dayle also worked at Malmaison Hotels, The Invercarse Hotel, and Dunkeld House Hotel, which itself was acquired by the Crerar Hotels Group just last year.
He said: “Balmoral Arms is beautiful property located within one of the most historical towns in Scotland, and close to the royal residence, so I am incredibly honoured to step into the role of general manager here, and I’m looking forward to working with the team who make this place so special.
“I’ll be working closely with the entire Crerar Hotels team as well as my colleagues within the hotel to ensure all guests continue to receive the excellent customer service that the group is renowned for and the cosy country welcome that Balmoral Arms is known for.”
Formerly the Deeside Inn, Crerar Hotels Group’s undertook a £2.2million investment in the venue back in 2022, which saw it reopen as the Balmoral Arms, recognising its proximity to the Royal’s Scottish residence, Balmoral Castle.
