Dunfermline’s very first Cocktail Week begins today – Friday 25th of April – with 24 venues in Fife’s first city offering £5 signature cocktails and other special offers.

The event follows the success of Cocktail Week initiatives in St Andrews, Inverness, Dundee, Stirling and Perth. This new Dunfermline iteration of the festival is sponsored by Fife Council and Stagecoach.

In a proven tactic to stir up footfall, members of the public can access all of the cut-price offers across a range of locals venues by heading out whilst wearing a wristband purchased off the event website and collected from the central Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum.

“This one in particular is so special with me originally being from Dalgety Bay!” noted Christison.

”Cocktail Week is the perfect chance for locals and visitors to discover new venues or revisit their favourite bar in Dunfermline. I am confident you are going to love this event and we cannot wait to build it for years to come, putting Dunfermline and its new city status in the food and drink spotlight.”

Among the £5 cocktails on offer throughout the city in the week ahead is a ‘Peachy Summer’ at Indian street food specialists Dhoom; a ‘Venetian Sunrise’ at local Italian restaurant Carlucci’s; a luminous ‘Limoncello Spritz’ at gothic retreat The Creepy Wee Pub; a ‘New Row Spritz’ at Juniper Wine Café; a ‘Wildflower Spritz’ at The East Port Bar; and a ‘Ciao Malfy Spritz’ at Incontri. Meanwhile The Rumblingwell is offering a ‘Mojito-licious’, while Edward’s Bar & Grill has concocted an ‘Edwards Strawberry Martini’.

Restaurants are also laying on food offers to tie in with the week-long festival, including Edward’s Bar & Grill, Carlucci’s Restaurant and The Ball Room.

In an added twist, two of Dunfermline’s main hair salons are also signed up to the festival, making it cheaper for wristband holders to get glammed up for their night out.
