Ayrshire based hospitality operator Buzzworks has become the first Scottish company to be named the UK’s ‘Best Managed Pub Company’ at the Publican Awards.
With 21 bar and restaurant venues across Scotland, Buzzworks was recognised for its ‘outstanding management, strong innovation and exceptional business performance’ at a ceremony in London last week.
Managing director Kenny Blair said: “Being crowned winners of the ‘Best Managed Pub Company’ category against such stiff competition from across the UK is a monumental moment for us.
“We are honoured to be the first ever company to bring this Publican Award back to Scotland and are incredibly proud to have been given the opportunity to fly the flag for the vibrant hospitality sector which exists here north of the border,” said Blair.

“This award goes beyond customer service – it recognises the forward-thinking, constantly evolving culture we’ve built at Buzzworks.
“We have always believed that success comes from staying innovative, embracing diversity, and continually pushing ourselves to improve, whether it’s how we develop our people, the way we run our business, or the experiences we create for our guests,” he said.
“To have that recognised at this level is a real honour and we can’t wait to celebrate it with our incredible teams across central Scotland.”
Buzzworks maintains several venue brands across its estate – Scotts; House; Lido; Vic’s & The Vine; The Duke; Thirty Knots; The Bridge Inn; and The Fox and Herringbone.
The group was also recently named one of the ‘Best Companies to Work For in the UK’ for the ninth year in a row and has been recognised as one country’s fastest growing businesses after securing 8th place on the UK Fast Growth Index.
