Competitive socialising has reached the South Pacific, with the news this week that Glasgow’s most exotic drinks den, the Tiki Bar on Bath St, has installed five state-of-the-art digital darts lanes.

The venue’s new ‘Darts Den’, in its upstairs space, is said to combine ‘cutting-edge technology with the playful atmosphere Tiki Bar is known for’.

Officially opening this coming Thursday (Feb 6), The Tiki Bar & Darts Den will offer 100 free games of darts to the first 100 customers through the door.

Five state-of-the-art digital darts lanes have been added to the venue.

“Whether you’re a darts pro or a total beginner, the setup makes for an unforgettable playing experience, perfect for group gatherings, team bonding, or simply letting loose with friends,” said a venue rep.

“Combining competitive socialising and live video playback and enhanced graphics, the new augmented darts lane makes for a perfect playing experience.”

But as ever, if you’re looking for an ‘oasis of escapism’, the downstairs Tiki bar, with its bamboo, trinkets and peacock chairs , will be serving cocktails in bespoke and eclectic Tiki mugs, ‘transporting visitors to the South Pacific with every sip’.

To keep you on your toes, geographically speaking, the Tiki Bar’s food offer heads to south-east asia with a Thai Kitchen menu with distinctive Thai curries, or an authentic Phat Thai.

“Tiki Bar has always been about bringing a slice of escapism to Glasgow,” said manager Holly Paterson.

“With the new Darts Den, we’ve added an exciting interactive element to the experience, offering something for everyone, whether you’re here for the games, the food, or the cocktails.”
