SimpsInns’ Gailes Hotel & Spa in Irvine has picked up a top accolade after going head-to-head with other leading hotel wedding venues around the country.
The Ayrshire venue was declared ‘Best Hotel Wedding Venue’ in the west of Scotland at the national Confetti Wedding Awards 2025.
The independently judged awards were assigned following a nationwide search for the best companies as voted for by their customers, and research and review by a panel of industry specialists.
Located just 40 minutes from Glasgow, The Gailes Hotel & Spa was re-launched in 2022 after a £250,000 makeover.
The Lagavulin Suite at The Gailes has the flexibility to host smaller, intimate weddings, as well as more extravagant gatherings for up to 250 guests, including civil and religious ceremonies.
The Gailes also offers a purpose-built outdoor Wedding Pavilion located in its private gardens, as well as a rooftop conservatory and garden terrace with views over the countryside and beyond towards the Isle of Arran.
The venue is part of the family-owned SimpsInns group, which owns and operates a number of hospitality venues around the Ayrshire coast, including The Potting Shed in Irvine, The Waterside Hotel in West Kilbride and The Loans Inn at Troon.
Lee Simpson from SimpsInns said: “It’s been a fantastic start to the year for SimpsInns. We’re really proud of our entire team, particularly our wedding specialists at The Gailes; who work tirelessly to ensure all our wedding couples have the most amazing day.
“This latest national award is yet further recognition of our reputation for offering one of the most stylish and contemporary wedding venues on the Ayrshire coast.
“We’d also like to congratulate all the other finalists and winners, and thank the team at Confetti for a fantastic awards ceremony.”
As part of its strategy of continued investment, the firm will soon launch a new £3million sea view spa, plus 17 additional guest rooms, at The Waterside Hotel in West Kilbride; as well as a major makeover of the restaurant and bar at The Loans Inn in Troon.
