Loch Lomond’s famed five-star Cameron House Resort has appointed international hospitality veteran Will Oakley as its new managing director.

Having managed various five-star properties in the UK and overseas during his three decade career in the luxury hospitality sector, Oakley is described as bringing ‘a wealth of knowledge’ to the Scottish resort.

Most recently, he was MD of Antigua’s 300-acre Jumby Bay Island private resort where, under his leadership, the hotel’s turnover and profit grew, and it was awarded a 5-star Forbes rating.

Prior to that, Oakley held GM roles with luxury properties including The Cadogan in London, Glenapp Castle in Ayrshire, and Cobblers Cove in Barbados.

At Cameron House he will oversee and lead all aspects of the resort’s management and operations, ensuring ‘seamless coordination and the highest standards’ across every department.

This will include oversight of hotel accommodation, food and beverage services, self-catered lodges and the resort’s signature experiences.

Oakley said: “Cameron House is renowned as one of Scotland’s leading resorts and I am deeply committed to contributing to its continued success.

“My focus is on leading and supporting the talented team to deliver excellence at every turn, ensuring that every guest experience is nothing short of extraordinary.

“As we step into the new year, I am excited to collaborate, drive innovation, foster a culture of excellence and build on the resort’s reputation as a destination of choice for unforgettable experiences worldwide.”

Sitting on the southern banks of Loch Lomond, in the Trossachs National Park, Cameron House has 208 bedrooms, including 28 suites, multiple restaurants and bars, an award-winning spa, marina and two golf courses, including the 18-hole Championship course, The Carrick.

Also located within the wider resort are 115 self-catered lodges, cottages and apartments.
