Scottish National Whisky Festival will come to Leith this October

The Scottish National Whisky Festival returns to Edinburgh this year, being held for the first time at The Biscuit Factory in Leith on 26 October.

That Leith date is the latest stop on the festival’s busy 2024/25 schedule, which has already seen it stop off at Inverness in June and Aberdeen in September, with a return to Glasgow scheduled for January, as part of the Celtic Connections festival.

As ever, the Edinburgh edition will give festival-goers the opportunity to sample hundreds of whiskies from world-renowned distilleries and independent bottlers, explore guest spirits and experimental flavours across the exhibitor line up, and indulge in creations from on-site mixologists.

In all its appearances, the SNWF features live entertainment from Scottish performers, and speakers and industry experts ‘handpicked to reflect the energy and identity of each festival city’.

Festival co-ordinator Gareth Croll, said: “We are delighted to be moving our Edinburgh edition to The Biscuit Factory in Leith. As well as a rich history of whisky production, warehousing, importing and exporting, the area boasts one of the most exciting, fast-growing drinks scenes in the country, making it the perfect move for our event which is already well established in the capital.

“To all of our friends in Leith, old and new, we can’t wait to hit the ground running and give you our biggest event yet in the capital! See you soon!”
