Greene King embraces bag-in-box cocktails from The Drinks Bureau

The Drinks Bureau’s award winning range of ready-to-serve cocktails

Ready-to-Serve cocktails from The Drinks Bureau have secured a major expansion into the on-trade market via an official listing in Greene King’s free-trade pub portfolio.

This new partnership will see TDB’s full range of 1.5 litre bag-in-box cocktails – Passion Fruit Martini, Espresso Martini, Spicy Margarita, Lychee Martini and Strawberry Daiquiri – available across select Greene King and Belhaven pubs nationwide.

According to a recent report by the UK Hospitality Association, demand for high-quality pre-made cocktails in pubs has surged by 25% over the past year, prompting Green King’s adoption of TDB’s bag-in-box format, which offers 10 servings per box, and is said to provide ‘consistent, delicious bar-quality cocktails’ with every pour.

Further, each variety has a 12-month shelf life from production, and is claimed to remain fresh for up to four weeks once opened, with no need to refrigerate.

The Drinks Bureau’s RTS Espresso Martini and Spicy Margarita recently won the Spirits Business Masters Awards at the RTD & Premix Masters, while its Passion Fruit Martini won a Silver.

Frankie Snobel of The Drinks Bureau

“We are beyond thrilled to make our on-trade debut with the fabulous team at Greene King”, said TDB founder, Frankie Snobel. “Cocktails offer high cash margins but can be a huge faff for pubs that don’t have the trained staff or time.

“Our solution provides quick, easy and bar-quality cocktails, so pubs can meet the growing demand from their customers in a low-risk 1.5L format.”

Greene King buyer, Aaron Van Tonder, said: “As soon as we tasted The Drinks Bureau’s cocktails, we knew we needed to add them to our product portfolio for our pubs.

“Along with tasting like the real deal, they look great and are so quick and easy to use. We’re seeing some impressive ROS in pubs that didn’t have a cocktail offering before and envisage that this solution will be going from strength to strength across our pubs nationwide.”
