Popular ‘late night party parlour’ Freddy’s has undergone an expansion to cope with the strong trade it has enjoyed since opening on Edinburgh’s Frederick St last October.
The venue has reportedly become one of the Capital’s must-visit late night destinations, with locals and visitors alike booking out the space week after week to enjoy its offer of live music, signature cocktails, world-class beers and ‘Insta-worthy’ interiors.
In response, Freddy’s owner, Encore Bars, has reinvested in the venue, with an internal reorganisation and refurb ‘creatively utilising every inch of space’.
The venue’s centre stage room has now doubled in size, increasing its capacity for seated table bookings, while a new island bar has been added, and the space overall has been expanded.
Freddy’s will now also benefit from an upgraded sound system and a new air-cooling system.
In addition to these newly upgraded interiors, which will launch tonight, Friday 12th July, Freddy’s will be introducing a new range of cocktails.
General manager Gavin Currie said: “Freddy’s has surpassed all expectations, quickly becoming a staple in Edinburgh’s nightlife scene. We’ve grown steadily, hitting all our targets, and now, with this expansion, we’re set to solidify Freddy’s as the go-to late-night destination in the city.
“Our success is a testament to our great offerings, top-notch entertainment, exceptional service, and meticulous attention to the venue’s aesthetics.”
In the coming months, Encore Bars will announce details of a new sister location on Hanover Street, which will provide employment opportunities for a head chef, bar staff, waiting team members, supervisors, assistant managers, and a social media manager, with other roles also available at Freddy’s.
Gavin continued: “We’re thrilled to announce our next venture on Hanover Street. This new concept will embody everything people love about Freddy’s, with even more under one roof and, of course, with that signature Freddy’s twist. Stay tuned, Edinburgh – the best is yet to come!”
