Buzzworks’ newest bar and restaurant, Scotts Greenock – which opened at Greenock Ocean Terminal last summer – has taken the ‘Newcomer of the Year’ title at The Scotsman newspaper’s Scran Awards.

The competition’s judging panel picked out Scotts Greenock as best new venue in Scotland from a shortlist bars and restaurants including Cardinal in Edinburgh, Dune in St Andrew’s, The Kenmuir Arms and Edinburgh Street Food.

General manager Jenny Barlow said: “Being crowned ‘Newcomer of the Year’ against such strong competition from across Scotland is a truly monumental moment for us.

“Scotts Greenock is Buzzworks’ first restaurant in Inverclyde, and so we’re overjoyed to see that our dedication to providing fantastic dining experiences with outstanding service to match hasn’t gone unnoticed.

“This win is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our amazing staff, who none of this would be possible without. We look forward to celebrating this win with the rest of the team and our much-loved guests as we continue to strive to create unforgettable dining experiences for everyone who walks through our doors.”

Situated on Greenock’s shorefront, with 270-degree panoramic views of the River Clyde, Scotts Greenock follows in the footsteps of Buzzworks’ other Scotts venues in Troon, Largs and South Queensferry.
