Crerar Hotels has appointed Marc Adams as the new general manager at its four-star Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa.
Before joining the team at the popular island hotel, Marc was the GM at Hotel Collessio in Stirling, as well as GM at Loch Rannoch Hotel, Estate and Spa, which was formerly part of Macdonald Hotels before it was privately sold in 2020. Following the sale, Marc led the full refurbishment at the four-star estate.
Originally from Dundee, Marc has more than twenty-five years’ experience in the sector, in a variety of family-run and large chain hotels, including Cardrona Hotel Golf & Spa, Peebles, and the five-star Rusacks, St Andrews.
He joins Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa hot on the heels of executive chef Noel Escobal, who has recently returned to lead the kitchen at Òran na Mara, the hotel’s bistro.
The hotel itself was also recently refurbished and upgraded as part of a £4million investment, including the launch of Driftwood Spa and the Wilderness Deck.
Marc said: “It gives me great pleasure to take on the reins at Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa. It is certainly a gem within the Crerar Hotels’ portfolio which I fell in love with the first time I visited.
“My aim as general manager is to continue to deliver first-class Scottish hospitality which Crerar Hotels is well-known for, and working with the fantastic team at the hotel to ensure guests have an exceptional experience when staying with us.”
CEO of Crerar Hotels, Chris Wayne-Wills, said: “I look forward to watching, and being on hand, as Marc settles in at Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa and continues to grow a fantastic team at this award-winning hotel.
“Thanks to his wealth of experience and high skill set, I know guests will be well looked after whether they are staying for a relaxing spa break, enjoying an active staycation or they’re on a romantic island getaway.”
