Following its successful inaugural event last year, The Scottish Rum Festival is to return in September, this time taking place in Glasgow, coinciding with the first weekend of the Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight.
The festival will be held at the SWG3 venue on September 7th, and promises to be another ‘unforgettable celebration of Scotland’s rum heritage’ and the country’s thriving modern rum scene.
“From established distilleries to innovative new producers, there will be something to delight every rum enthusiast and explorer,” said the organisers.
The Scottish Rum Festival will take place over two sessions: 12:00 – 15:30 and 16:30 – 20:00. Attendees can expect a complete meet-the-maker experience, a branded Glencairn tasting glass and samples from each of the rum producers in attendance. The event’s schedule of masterclasses will be released later this year.
“We are delighted to bring The Scottish Rum Festival back for its second year, this time in the vibrant city of Glasgow,” said organiser Jasmine Wheelhouse. “Following the success of our inaugural event, we are excited to once again showcase Scotland’s rich rum heritage and the incredible producers on the Scottish rum map.
“With an array of fantastic producers, interactive masterclasses, and of course, plenty of rum, this year’s festival promises to be even bigger and better than before.”
Early bird tickets for the festival have already sold out. However, regular tickets are still available for purchase.
