Buzzworks brings winter to an end with the reopening of Outboard

Dog-friendly summer hotspot, Outboard by Scotts, at South Queensferry’s Port Edgar Marina, is back in business after a short winter hiatus.

Its operator, hospitality group Buzzworks, said the spectacularly-situated venue was ready to ‘wow guests over the sunnier seasons’ after some hard work during the winter lay off.

Situated alongside the Scotts Bar & Restaurant, Outboard is open seven days over the Easter holidays, and thereafter every Wednesday to Sunday, with a ‘showstopping’ new food and drink menu, featuring everything from breakfast rolls to bubble fish & chips, chicken tempura, a hearty selection of burger buns, salad bowls, toasties and homemade traybakes.

True to its reputation as a family-friendly establishment, Outboard encourages guests to bring along their four-legged friends. Famously, its doggie-dining offer has included biscuits, sausages, sweet treats – including Jude’s ice cream for dogs – and ‘puppuccinos’.

With an eye to social media – and the venue’s views out to the Forth’s Three Bridges – guests are encouraged to share snaps of their pets with the hashtag #DogsofBuzzworks.

Group operations manager Reece Wood added that Buzzworks is actively looking for new recruits to add to the teams working across its growing portfolio.

“If you’re ready to dive into a rewarding opportunity, we’d love to have you on board,” said Wood. “Spread the word to friends and family – we’re ready to welcome new faces to our team as we prepare to wow guests over the sunnier seasons.”

Buzzworks has consistently been named in the Best Companies to Work for List over the past few years, and claims to offer ‘industry-leading’ benefits for its senior positions and teams, including competitive rates of pay, ongoing training and development, career progression, flexible working and health and wellbeing incentives.

As well as Outboard, the company offers ‘aspirational dining and entertainment’ experiences across Scotland through its other brands – Scotts, House, Lido, Vic’s & The Vine, The Duke, Thirty Knots, The Bridge Inn, The Fox, and Herringbone.
