Industry led wholesaler, Master of Malt Trade, has launched its own way to recognise those staff who might get overlooked in the hospitality industry – the Clubman Trophy.
Liam Belton, trade lead at Master of Malt Trade, explained: “We want to celebrate those quiet heroes who keep the wheels turning in businesses; to give a platform to those who are in the background and won’t usually get any type of recognition other than a pat on the back at the end of a shift.”
The winner of the Clubman Trophy will not only be graced with the accolade, a trophy and a rosette, but will also win an overnight trip to the Copper Rivet Distillery in Kent, with food, travel and accommodation covered.
Located at the heart of Chatham’s Historic Naval Dockyard, Copper Rivet Distillery is a family-founded business which has been creating gin, vodka, whisky and liqueurs since its opening in 2016.
Opened in 2021, its Pumproom restaurant boasts ‘an impressive dining room and beautiful riverside terrace’, making it the perfect setting for food and cocktails all year round.
MoM stressed that it is free to nominate your Clubman of choice, and nominating is quick and simple, via this link where nominators will be prompted to provide a few simple details. Entrants will then be collated and put to the MoM judging panel.
Nominations will close on 29th March, with the winner being announced mid-April.
